GMAC Celebrates the 2022 Edition of Women in Mining UK’s “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” and the WIM100 from China

Beijing – 21 November 2022: The Global Mining Association of China (“GMAC”) is thrilled to celebrate all 100 women who have been selected for Women in Mining UK’s 2022 edition of the “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100), with a special congratulations to the nominee in China: Vivian Feng, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Vale China.
北京，2022年11月21日：中国国际矿业协会(GMAC）祝贺所有100位矿业女性入选由英国矿业女性组织（“WIM UK“）主办的2022年度“全球矿业百名励志女性”（以下简称“WIM 100”）榜单；特别祝贺来自淡水河谷矿产品（中国）有限公司（VALE China) 的公司事务总经理冯薇女士入选。
The WIM 100 highlights the wealth of female talent within the global mining industry, celebrates their “above & beyond” contributions to the industry, and identifies role models for future generations.
Judging criteria including being a trailblazer and making a positive and impactful changes so the industry can operate in a more safe, sustainable and inclusive way; a commitment to advocating and empowering those working in the mining industry and beyond; and perseverance in the face of adversity.
WIM UK received 915 nominations for 491 women from 61 countries.
“全球矿业百名励志女性”评选活动彰显了全球采矿业中众多女性人才，庆祝她们对行业的卓越贡献，并为未来行业新人竖立榜样。
年度WIM 100 当选者评选标准是基于候选者自己的工作及经验赋能于矿业，促进矿业更加安全、茁壮发展，这些能力及素质包括：为行业安全、可持续发展做出积极及有影响力的变革；是一名行业开拓者、创新者；致力于支持并赋能采矿业及相关行业从业人员；具备在逆境中持之以恒，正面挑战、积极寻找解决方案的能力。
本次活动评选委员会收到来自61个国家491位女性的915份提名书。

This award is so well deserved and everyone at GMAC and the wider Chinese mining community thanks Vivian for her contribution over the years and congratulate her on this recognition of a stellar career in the mining industry.

First launched by Women in Mining UK in 2013, the biennial “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100) publication, now in its fifth edition, highlights the incredible diversity of talent in mining and celebrates inspirational women and their stories. This edition of the WIM100 is kindly sponsored by BMO Capital Markets, Heidrick & Struggles and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
两年一度的《 全球矿业百名励志女性》（WIM100）于2013年由英国矿业女性组织首次发布，现已出版第五届，着重介绍了采矿业精彩的多样性，旨在祝贺矿业女性得此殊荣并分享她们的励志故事。本届WIM100由蒙特利尔银行资本市场集团（BMO Capital Markets），海德思哲（Heidrick＆Struggles) 和 波士顿咨询集团（BCG）赞助。
WIM UK received 915 nominations for 491 women in mining from 61 countries. Those included in the book were selected due to their inspiration actions. This including being a trailblazer and making a positive and impactful changes so the industry can operate in a more safe, sustainable and inclusive way; a commitment to advocating and empowering those working in the mining industry and beyond; and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) is a volunteer non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining sector.
