Company Description: Our client is a leading commodity trading company with a strong presence in the global metals market. They are seeking a Head of Refined Metals Trading to join their team in Singapore.
Role Description: The Head of Refined Metals Trading will be responsible for managing and leading the refined metals trading team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the refined metals trading strategy, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the refined metals trading strategy for the Singapore office, in line with the overall company strategy.
- Manage and lead the refined metals trading team, ensuring that they are motivated, trained and equipped to achieve their targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the refined metals market, working closely with other teams within the company.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that all trading activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitor and analyse market trends and developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, brokers, and other market participants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in refined metals trading, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the refined metals market, including market trends and key players.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with managing risk and compliance in a trading environment.
